How can ethnic identity and pride be preserved as assimilation into
the larger culture occurs? Hispanic teens in the Eastern Oregon
town of Ontario express their heritage through public celebrations,
the arts, mass media and activities within their extended families.

a search for cultural identity authentic and when is it not?
