Setting up a Residency
The program's Education Outreach Coordinator works closely with sponsoring sites to develop a specific residency plan meeting individual needs and utilizing local resources. Small contact groups and blocks of instructional time maximize an artist's ability to effectively lead the production process. A specific filmmaker is matched to a site by the program once the basic residency framework is established. Northwest Film Center equipment supplements school resources, as required. Inquiries about artist residencies are accepted year-round. No formal application form is required. Site fees are subsidized by contributions from corporate, community, and public contributors. Contact Kristin Konsterlie, Education Outreach Coordinator for information by calling 503-221-1156 x16, or by e-mail at kristin@nwfilm.org. |
