Since its inception in 1973, the Northwest Film & Video Festival has attracted a unique breed of filmmaker that challenges the status quo of the cinematic landscape and introduces new ideas in filmmaking to enthusiastic audiences, both in our theatre in Portland, Oregon and across the country through the Best of the Northwest Film & Video Festival Tour. The films selected for this year’s tour cannot properly express the breadth of talent in our region, but we hope that it will whet your and encourage you to seek out and appreciate visionary work wherever you can find it.
