This course is for those who already understand the basics of screenplay writing and want to write—or complete—a feature film script. The goal of the course is for students to structure, populate, write, and polish a 100-page screenplay in twelve weeks. The class will move through premise, development, outline, draft, and revision. Taught workshop-style, much of the class will be devoted to in-class review of student work. Students should expect to spend significant outside time working on their script throughout the term. The class is open to both first-time students and returning students (returning students will continue and finish their previous script). First-time students should bring three story ideas or works-in-progress to the first class.
