DAVID KING SCHOLARSHIPS
The DAVID KING SCHOLARSHIPS celebrate the life of DAVID KING, an
endeared Film Center student who went on to pursue his love of filmmaking
at Loyola Marymount University before entering the industry in Southern
California. The Scholarship supports students who have successfully
completed two core courses at the School of Film with tuition grants

FAERIE GODMOTHER SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WOMEN
In collaboration with the Faerie Godmother Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, the School of Film announces a new scholarship program aimed at helping emerging women filmmakers to position themselves for longterm success in the primary creative roles of the field. Faerie Godmother Scholarships will provide School of Film tuition assistance in the amount of $500 each to female individuals residing in Oregon or Southwest Washington who have completed one or more courses in the School of Film, and who have clearly demonstrated the capacity to produce quality work while garnering the respect of her peers. Oregon Media Arts Fellowship

Purpose of the Media Arts Fellowship
The Oregon Media Arts Fellowship(s) provide financial and other support for production expenses to enable Oregon film or video artists to create or complete new work or works in progress. The Media Arts Fellowship(s) recognize and assist media artists whose work shows exceptional promise and who have demonstrated a commitment to film or video art. The Oregon Arts Commission, the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation and Oregon Public Broadcasting fund the program. The Media Arts Fellowship program is administered by the Northwest Film Center/Portland Art Museum. Additional support is provided by the Oregon Film and Video Office and Chambers Communications.
In addition to the cash fellowship(s) to be awarded, Chambers Communications has contributed a studio package to the Oregon Media Arts Fellowship program. The studio award consists of a one week use of Chambers’ video, audio or stage facilities. The stage is a 14,400 sq.ft stage with AC, wood floor for set construction, and grid.
Post-production facilities include use of an Avid Nitris HD suite with editor. The audio portion consists of a new 5.1 Surround mixing suite with Pro Tools HD, audio engineer and tracking room with foley. The winner may choose to use 2 weeks of stage and one week of either audio or video post, or three weeks of stage, but no more than one week in audio or video post.
