RULES & ELIGIBILITY
Any young filmmaker between the ages of 13 and 19 living in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, or Montana may enter a film in any theme or style made after September 1, 2010. Group projects as well as individual works are acceptable. All entries must be student produced. Adult guidance and instruction is permissible, but the planning, production, and selection of subject matter must reflect student effort. Submission deadline is August 1, 2012. There is NO entry fee.
JURY PROCESS
A jury panel of media professionals and educators will select entries for recognition in three categories: Creative Self-Expression, Heart, and Integrative Learning. All entries will be considered for all three categories. Criteria for selection include Freshness & Originality, Persuasive Point of View, Emotional Impact, Technical Proficiency, and successful Risk-Taking. The use of original music (not copyrighted) is strongly encouraged.
TECHNICAL GUIDELINES
Submit your film as a high quality QuickTime file on a data disc or thumb drive (please note that media will only be returned if you include a self-addressed and stamped envelope with correct postage with your submission). Please name your file with your last name and title of the work.
We ask that you NOT burn a playable DVD.
Complete an entry form for each submission. (Multiple submissions are allowed but you MUST submit a separate form and separate QuickTime file for each submission.)
