The Portland International
Film Festival continues its tradition of leading audiences
to discover great cinema. As the premiere film and cultural event of
Oregon the Festival brings together film lovers and filmmakers from
around the world for two weeks in February with the belief that movies
can involve an audience by challenging, entertaining, and inspiring
them. In order to produce such an event, the Festival annually hires
a group of dedicated individuals to work both in the offices and theatres
associated with PIFF.
Basic requirements:

strong organizational skills;
...- the ability to learn quickly;
...- should be able to work in a very fast-paced
environment;
...- knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access,
and Excel.

This person coordinates day-to-day operation of the Festival,
working directly with the Film Center office staff to supervise
theater staffing, track ticket sales and keep the Festival running
smoothly. The Operations Coordinator will: • Advertise and
promote volunteer and staffing opportunities to the community •
Organize volunteer staff recruitment and orientation meetings •
Assist in hiring and overseeing Festival staff • Oversee Festival
theater staff scheduling • Act as communications liaison between
the Film Center office and theater staff • Oversee production
and delivery of signage, program notes and materials sent to theaters
• Oversee advance ticket sales procedures • Other duties
as assigned |
