RAPTURE-PALOOZA
Chris Matheson Corbett, OR
Screenwriter and director and NWFC faculty member Chris Matheson’s new film hasn’t begun production yet, but you can get a sneak preview when we present a live reading directed by Matheson. When Seattle succumbs to the Apocalypse, not all is lost. Sure, rivers of blood flow thru the streets, hurtling fireballs decimate the unsuspecting, and crows have gained the gift of speech, but the Anti-Christ -- who prefers to be called The Beast -- is more interested in getting laid than fending off the Second Coming. Can twenty-somethings, Ben and Lindsey, save their affections and their sandwich stand in the face of such devilish competition? Matheson`s sacreligious spoof will get a four-star treatment in this high-wattage reading of his work, followed by a discussion with the director and cast moderated by Warren Etheredge. (90 mins.)
