Join us as we announce and screen this year's audience choice for best short film and other selected short film choices in the audience balloting for the "Best of the Festival" prize. This year's Winner and other audience highlights will make up the Festival's "Best of the Northwest" touring program, which in the coming year will screen in five Northwest states and British Columbia-from Anchorage, to Vancouver, BC, Seattle, Missoula, Boise, Bend and points in between. EVIL CULT - ROB TAYLOR

Neil Stryker is a wanderer with a bad attitude whose run ins with and evil cult gives him a crash course in mind control and murder. Stryker finds himself with just one option – to fight for his life in a grizzly bloodbath or epic proportions. Paying Homage to the films of [pre-lord of the rings] Peter Jackson and [pre- Spiderman] Sam Raimi, Rob Taylor has fashioned a campy, over the top cavalcade of gory special effects and groan-worthy oneliners. During the show, raise your glass in a toast to gratuitous violence with beverages provided by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. 21+ (ID required).

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7 9.30PM
Join us after the show for a drink, a chance to talk and relax and if you like, an opportunity to screen your film at the Filmmakers’ Lounge Open Screening. Hosted by Studio 1050 and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, the Lounge invites any and all filmmakers to take part in the Festival. Submit a short film by November 1 and see it projected with a live soundtrack by DJ Talk Demonic and others TBA. Filmmakers interested in screening, contact Andrew Blubaugh (andrew@nwfilm.org). Otherwise just come.
