Bushra Azzouz is the director of award-winning documentaries about Native American basketry and 9/11. She holds an MA from San Francisco State and is the lead faculty member in the Film Center School of Film.

Andrew Blubaugh is a filmmaker and performance artist whose work has screened at Sundance, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Seattle International Film Festival. He has taught for the Young Filmmakers Program for five years.

Brenda Grell is an experimental filmmaker with an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design who works in digital design and new media. This is her first year with the Young Filmmakers Program.

Lee Krist specializes in hand-processed film techniques and the century-old tradition of the hand-crank projector. His film series BIG FILMS screened at the Whitney Museum. This is his seventh year of teaching for the Young Filmmakers Program.

Brian Lindstrom, who holds an MFA in Directing from Columbia University, has produced a series for PBS and makes award-winning documentaries on social justice themes. He is a 15-year veteran of the Young Filmmakers Program.

Sarah Nagy, a graduate of the NW Film Center Certificate Program and the University of Amersterdam (MA in Film), runs the Buckman School Film Academy. This is her first year with the Young Filmmakers Program.

Amy O'Brien is an independent filmmaker whose short films have screened in the Northwest Film & Video Festival. She also works as an editor, primarily in documentary film. She returns for a second year of teaching for Young Filmmakers.

Michelle Swinehart is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in digital media, sculpture, puppetry, and video installation. This is her second year with the Young Filmmakers Program.
