The Northwest Film Center School of Film and Young Filmmakers Program welcomes resumes from independent mediamakers with an interest in teaching part-time. Media-making background and commitment to media arts perspective a must. Academic credentials and teaching experience desirable but not required. Areas of expertise needed vary from year to year.

Opportunities
Youth Media Intern
Youth Media Interns will help promote and develop the Film Center's statewide Young Filmmakers Program for Kids + Teens, one of the oldest and largest youth media programs in the country.
Hours:
Flexible schedule during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.), with a minimum of 12-15 hours per week required. Some occasional evening and/or weekend hours for special events and programs may be required.
Compensation:
This in an unpaid volunteer position.
Benefits:
The Intern may develop organizational, administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills which can later be applied in a wide range of employment situations. Interns may receive references and recommendations for future employment or education opportunities, and become qualified for consideration for specific job openings at the Film Center. Interns may attend regular admission Film Center Exhibition Program screenings free of charge.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with education and marketing staff and faculty to promote and coordinate Young Filmmakers Program activities with K-12 schools, community organizations, and social service agencies. Create marketing plans, including social media networks; find distribution outlets for student-produced media, including film festivals and Web sites; help develop and produce family programs; update youth media component of Web site and improve links; research developing outreach models for youth media programs nationally and internationally; help archive youth-produced media.
Attributes and Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and creatively with limited resources. Organized and methodical with strong attention to detail. Macintosh computer skills required; knowledge of film and/or video production required. Background in education helpful.
