The Best of the 37th Northwest Film & Video Festival touring program presents a carefully selected cross-section of the state of filmmaking in the Northwest. The Northwest Film Center presents this showcase in an effort to bring the filmmakers wider exposure and to offer this independent regional work to venues large and small.

A graduate of the AFI Conservatory’s first class in 1971—alongside fellow classmates Terrence Malick, David Lynch, and Caleb Deschanel—Gill Dennis returned to AFI in 1997 as a Master Filmmaker-in-Residence, providing creative guidance for second-year thesis projects. He also co-founded the screenwriting program at the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, but is perhaps best knows as a screenwriter for such acclaimed films as WALK THE LINE.
